Aurora, Indiana -- Southeast Indiana's premiere Open Buddy Bass Tournament named for the late Billy Backman, will be held on September 27th and 28th on the Ohio Riverr
The Billy Backman Fish For A Wish Fishing Tournament is a non-profit, charitable event supporting the local area Make A Wish Foundation's needy children programs. Additionally, the Tournament supports the William D. Backman IV Community Fund. The Community Fund provides educational resources to assist in making responsible choices and to prepare local youth for the future. Another area of the foundation focuses on awarding grants to individuals/projects benefiting conservation education, the environment, and wildlife.
"We are delighted by the interest that has been shown in the tournament in the Tri-State area," said Donnie Keeton, Tournament Director. "The sheer number of participants is an indication of the popularity of this sport and the willingness of sport fishermen to support worthwhile endeavors."
